Easy Dinner Rolls – Less than 150 calories
(original recipe from Yummy Healthy Easy.com)
1 1/4 cups warm water
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. yeast – instant is 3 packets
1/3 cup oil I used canola
1 tsp. salt
1 egg I used a large
3 1/2 cups flour
Dissolve yeast in warm water (110 degrees) and the full amount of sugar in a large bowl for about 10 minutes to give yeast time to activate. . Add in oil, salt, egg and flour until combined. (Add a little extra flour if the dough is too sticky.)
Knead the dough a little and then flatten out on the countertop and then cut dough evenly into the amount of rolls you want.
Cut the dough into the amount of rolls you want to have in the end. Shape them into whatever shape you want. I just folded the edges under. Place in a greased 9×13″ pan. Let rise for about 15-20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Bake rolls for about 15-20 minutes. Let rest for about 30 minutes before you take out the original baking pan.
You can freeze these and re-heat in a toaster oven for about 5-10 mins
