Healthy Vegan Clif Bars
1.5 c rolled oats
1/2 c buckwheat groats
1 cup pitted dates (15 medjool)
1 tsp vanilla powder
2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp pb2 powder
2 tbsp cacao nibs (or vegan choc chips)
1/4 c shredded coconut
1/4 c hemp protein powder (optional)
2 tbsp hemp seeds (optional)
2-4 tbsp plant milk (if needed)
In a food processor combine oats, buckwheat, vanilla, and pb2 and process lightly until mixed. Add in dates and mix until a dough like consistently forms. Add in the rest of your ingredients and process until combined. Depending on how “wet” the mixture is, you may need to add in a bit of plant milk or water to get a dough like consistency.
Press into a square container. Top with additional cacao nibs/coconut. Score with a knife where the bars will be and freeze 2-3 hours until hard. Separate bars and keep them in the fridge for when you want to eat them in a sealed dish.

I’ve always just eaten when I’m hungry … no one ever called it ‘intermittent fasting’.😳 I eat the bulk of my food later in the day. I noticed in one of your videos that you have the Top Chop cutting board …do you find it a pain to move when you need to clean it? I need a larger cutting board so was wondering if a 36 lb board was the best fit. Thanks! Can’t wait to try the ‘Cliff’ bars!
I know you said your fat was around 15% for sustainable weight loss.. but in your videos it seems like it's more than that? Idk I'm probably off, but it just seems with the coconut, peanut in the bars, and the hummus that it would exceed 15% I'm just really curious because I'm trying to work out how much fat I should be eating. Mcdougall kind of scares me with the "fat you eat is the fat you wear" thing
I have always been told I HAVE to eat breakfast and I always ended up being so hungry all morning afterwords. Everyone is different listen to your body.

We just talked about this in my anatomy class a bit! You’re probably not hungry in the morning because your body thinks it’s still asleep ig? But once you do eat everything starts working/waking up like your digestive system/brain etc.. that’s just what my teacher said randomly but that might be why haha

less fancy but very helpful food stuffs; i also naturally tend to not eat until noon or one and always get my big meal at night.
So I struggle with digestive issues. I've noticed that when I intermittent fast for the morning…typically a 14-16 hour fast from the previous day, things work WAY better for me. Its almost like my system just needs a break. Its the ONLY thing that's worked consistently for me in my battle with digestive problems. Has anyone else experienced this?
When you add everything together the bars come out to 230 calories per bar without the coconut and chocolate on top. If you add the extra coconut and chocolate on top then they are 270 calories (rounded up from 267) so they are pretty accurate to the calorie amount of cliff bars.
How many calories in one of the bars?

There is a guru called blake who says that intermittant fasting the way you do it causes you not to be hungry during the day…he eats huge meals at midnight and is a lean as ever !!!
