Sesame Sticks with Flax Meal
These sesame sticks are very good with a nutty flavor. We love them and even eat them for breakfast. They are also great for a snack. Here is this link to my cookie dip, but they are great alone, too.
Cookie Dip:
Ingredients and Directions:
1/3 cup lightly toasted sesame seeds (Toss in a dry pan over medium low heat till lightly toasted)
1 cup all purpose flour
2/3 cups sugar
1/3 cup almond flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons cold butter
1/3 cup flax meal
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons water (Might need a few drops more)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix all the dry ingredients till mixed well. Add the peanut butter and cold butter and mix till it looks like cornmeal. You don’t want any large lumps of butter.
Add the water and vanilla. If it’s still not holding together, you can add a few drops of water a little bit at a time till it’s holding together, but still slightly crumbly.
Place in a small pan or loaf pan that is lined with plastic wrap. Press firmly, cover with plastic wrap, and place in the refrigerator for several hours, or overnight, till it’s very firm.
Slice very thin. At least 1/4 inch thick and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F. till golden brown. It could take anywhere from 10-20 minutes. This depends on how think they are. Cool in the pan. Once cooled, place in an air tight container. I hope you enjoy!

Those look really delicious! I am going to have to make these for me and even for my pooch Riley cuz the ingredients are good for both of us! I am just going to have to find a replacement for the AP flour as I don't use flour anymore! In any case the recipe looks delicious!

I've never had these but it's something I would try. Looks great. Thanks so much
These look great! I'd probably use soy sauce instead of water and maybe add some spices to make them a bit more spicy and closer to the Asian sticks I've had, but otherwise, they look great.
Those look good. I love sesame sticks. I might have to try making my own. Thanks for showing how.
Those look delicious Cricket. I'd sure like to eat a handful right now!!
Hi, Cricket. Those sesame sticks look simply delish. What's the best way to wash your asparagus? Have a good day, Cricket.
