I saw Big Mike Obama!!! She's been overloading on sugar for far too long (too much protein and weight training, too)
I also like looking at nutrition labels
for some reason i feel like sick when i taste too much concentrated sugar….i thought it was a disgrace but nope, i see people eating more than the double of sugar i eat and i' like wtf, if i do that can be pretty bad to me.
There is percentages here in the UK.
I knew about sugar and added sugar in foods in which are harmful just like gluten in breads starches of rice, grains and bad wheat that are everywhere on store shelves and at your corner coffee places!
Companies are mixing artificial sweeteners in stuff to drop the sugar count. They ruined my Hawaiian Punch, my guilty pleasure.
Eat everything your hand can reach, science aren't right
So is a jar of honey 100% "added sugars" then ?
The WHO says 5% of your total energy, not calories. 5% of your daily calories would be 100-125g of sugar.
Daily energy intake 8400Kj, sugar has 85Kj per 5g (1.0119%) and therefore 5% of your total energy would be 24.7g of sugar. That's where the recommendation comes from
So, if there's a new food label that actually tells you the crap in your food, then why aren't we using it yet???
How are you highlighting the labels?? Can you tell
Thank you for creating such an awesome video on sugar consumption! We have shared on our social media. 🙂 Let's kick sugar!
and good luck with the new crowd in DC,,
I don't get it. Carbs are decomposed into simple sugars eventually after ingestion, so what is the difference between sugar and carb?
This was great, thank you for posting!
The % daily values are all useless. They give you the feeling that fat (and now sugar) are good to eat up to some % (they aren't), and that fiber should not be eaten past a certain % (when in fact it's ok to eat a lot of fiber).
I thought the recommended daily caloric intake for the average person is 2,000 calories. Daily value percentages are based off a 2,000 calorie diet are they not? So when you said recommended 10% = 50grams shouldn't it be 200 grams? As 10% of 2,000 is 200.
with trump being elected, we prob won't see the new labels until 2020
Read the book "Salt, Sugar, Fat" by Michael Moss
Sugar yes please, need a little sweetness on my life
I remember looking up a couple of years ago whether too much sugar can cause diabetes and everything I read said no, it's completely a myth, don't worry about it. I read a bunch of articles all saying the same thing, and I felt assured and confident about that and I moved on. Now I watch this, and they say that there is "an enormous amount of evidence that diets high in sugar can increase the chances of getting type 2 diabetes". Not sure what to think now. I have to look into this again a little bit more I guess.
You need to avoid consuming enough sugar in one sitting to cause an insulin spike. That's it.
why is added sugar worse then other sugar.
3:41 And then there are people who act like all the "studies" that show GMO are totally fine could NIIIEEEVVVAARRRR be complete bullshit or anything, and instead readily swallow Monsanto propaganda..
It's an interesting industry delay tactic. That's why the new lables are not out yet.
Wow 👍
Can you please make a video on Salt also. Thanks.
THANK YOU!
sugar nazis ! total bubkus if not taken with a grain of salt (natural, not added)
1:16 What a bullshit answer.
"Added sugars are bad because they don't add nutrients!"
No shit, And? Why is that such a bad thing? I get that sugar is bad in general, but we're already accounting for other nutrients separately. We shouldn't demonize "added" sugar, it's the same shit as "natural" sugar… All sugar is bad. Although I do think that any opportunity we have to replace sugar with sucralose or other artificial sweeteners should be taken…
in short: the less sugar you eat, the better with exception of fruit. Fuck sugar, it is my enemy now after some research.
This is very interesting… thanks for sharing this. Us people in lesser countries have not updated our nutrition facts label to include added sugar yet. Hope it happens soon. Meanwhile i'll look out for stuffs that have high *-ose items.
Fantastic video, thank you!
This video is gold! An eye opener really! Thank you for this
There is no "sugar" in almost any product on American store shelves.
If there is, it is usually proudly displayed on the front of the package.
The real demon is high fructose corn syrup, just try finding the word "sugar" on the ingredients list.
Sure sugar is not good for you but HFCS is poison, especially if you are diabetic.
I don't find it odd at all that we have come into a diabetes epidemic in the US since allowing this into our food supply either.
That so sugar film is a good watch
And no mention to Dr. Robert Justig's video… Right!
hey Im josh clark and theres charles w chuck bryant!
Sugar who's your sugar daddy :))))).Fuck off, sugar is good just don't eat so much of it.Common sense just like everything else.
