Chinese Okra recipe
How to cook Chinese okra; how to cook luffa; how to cook ridge gourd; luffa recipe; luffa gourd; ridged gourd; ridged gourd recipe.
Ingredients:
3 small Chinese okras, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch thick rounds
1 tbsp (15ml) vegetable oil
1/4 small onion, minced
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
11 pinches of salt
5 sprinkles black pepper
a pinch of sugar
note: Using the small stove, turn on medium heat 5.
note: In this video, these okras took 16 minutes to become tender!
note: When buying, look carefully at the green skin, moisture causes the skin to grow fuzzy white mold. Yuck!
note: Cooked Chinese okras taste sweet but sometimes you run into a bitter one.
