Welcome to The Robin Chronicles. The back story is in the spring of 2012 a robin built a waist high nest in a small tree in my backyard. Every morning I would sneak out while the mother was gone looking for food and take a picture of the progress. Luckily, one afternoon I caught the first bird hatching and filmed it, the mother was pretty mad at me during the 8 minutes of filming, but all the babies survived and flew away 4 weeks later. Very cool!!!

Wow Iβm surprised you were able to stay that long without getting attacked!! The baby robins under my neighbourβs balcony just hatched yesterday. I went to take a photo and as soon as I get close to the nest, the male robin flew towards me like an arrow, turning away at the last second. We had to be 2 people to be able to climb up the ladder (one person making sure the robin doesnβt attack us). I took a 10 sec video and one of the baby was in the state of this little one, only the beak out. I shouldβve stayed longer to watch the whole process!!! But itβs my first time and we were really scared of the male robin who threatens us nonstop. The female never attacked us, but the male is FIERCE and FEARLESS!!
P.S.: we brought fruits every time we approach the nest hoping they would associate us to food and not danger. Dad robin only came about 4 days ago, so maybe heβs not as used to us as mom whoβs been βdealingβ with us for 2 weeks π. They eat our fruit delivery tho so I guess they donβt completely hate us π
By now these birds are most likely dead.

Looked this up because I'm currently waiting to hear the sweet chirp chirps from five eggs in my birdhouse laid by a lovely Eastern Bluebird. The little dude I just witnessed in this video looked exhausted from fighting it's way out of it's egg lol
i found a egg of a robin on the ground so i broght it home what should i do?
i found bird eggs on the ground in my backyard so i took them in and im incubating them and i candle them once everyday and one of eggs is dented inward and that one is moving on the inside like when i candle it the the air pocket/sac or the sac with the bird in it is sliding around now is that ok? is has blood vessels and i see a dark dot which i think is the birds body so is it ok if its sliding around? and the air pocket has gotten huge like its hald the gg so is that the death of the embryo? π

I found these eggs in a nest at my aunts house ! Then there was a storm and they fell over:( 2 eggs cracked and there is 1 left but I see no veins

today I disturbed a blue jays nest that was in my mailbox. I built something and relocated the eggs, but I don't think the mother is coming back. any recommendation on what should I do. Ive stuff strays in the nest but I don't think that's gonna be warm enough. Should I take them inside to see what will happen or should I leave them in the nest I built? any help. Really hate that I disturbed this nest in my mailbox and I feel extremely bad…HELP PLEASE

This is a great video! My son (7yrs) and I watched it for science. He is learning about the bird life cycle. We watched this along with a nest building video. My son cheered the whole time! He kept saying βcome on little guy, you can do it! I believe in you!β Thank you for sharing this

Omg! This is soooo cute! I've always loved Robin's since I was little, they really are a fascinating bird to learn about! I loved this vidio so much, I chould really feel his struggle to get out of the egg, gourges eggs, BTW! I chould see him puuuuushing and shoving and puuuuushing and gasping, and then resting to get his strength back to puuuuush again! So cute to see! Come on, baby, come on, come on, you can do it, I know you can! Come- on, come- on, breath and puuuuuush, breath and puuuuush, breath deep and just puuuuuuush! You can do it! Come on, puuuuuush out into the world! Rain.
It amazes me that these beautiful little beings are so strong and pretty much on their own within three four weeks, whereas us humans stay with our parents for an average 18 or even longer years anymore.
