Matcha Glazed Brownies
Here’s a unique way to use matcha powder: in a glaze for brownies! You can find matcha powder in the tea isle of your local grocery store, in an international market or online.
Ingredients:
-2oz unsweetened chocolate
-5 Tbsp unsalted butter
-4oz semisweet chocolate
-3/4 cup sugar
-2 eggs
-1/3 cup flour
-1 cup walnut pieces + enough for topping
-1 cup powdered sugar
-3 Tbsp melted butter
-1 tsp vanilla
-1 Tbsp honey
-1 Tbsp matcha powder
Directions:
-To make the brownies, combine unsweetened chocolate, 5 Tbsp unsalted butter and 4oz semisweet chocolate and melt in a microwave for 30 seconds
-Add to a mixing bowl and add 3/4 cup sugar and mix well
-Mix in 2 eggs
-Add 1/3 cup flour and mix well
-Fold in 1 cup walnut pieces
-Line a pan with parchment paper and pour in brownie batter
-Bake for 30 minutes in a 325 degree oven
-To make the glaze, add 1 cup powdered sugar and 3 Tbsp melted butter to a bowl and mix
-Add 1 tsp vanilla and mix
-Add 1 Tbsp honey and mix
-Add 1 Tbsp matcha powder and mix
-Pour glaze over baked brownies, let cool 30 minutes, and top with walnuts!
