100 calories at the gym on the treadmill!? I dunno how you workout, but my calorie count always reads 1000 or more after a 30 minute workout.
We need so much of so many things how is it even possible to keep track and do it perfectly? 😩
Seaweed

I have just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and low iodine. I don’t have any symptoms that I am aware of. How do I reverse it?
I have a friend from work that got on the Atkins diet lost weight at first but his diabetes and heart disease ar moving up. I talked to him a couple of years about it. I talked to himself last night and I think he is seeing the truth. I truly hope he continues looking into it. Of course I will help him.
Exercising increases your metabolism which lasts long after its over. To say that one only burns 100 calories after running a mile is misleading and discouraging to some. Dr Bernard seems to be misinformed about this as he keeps repeating it in various interviews. I realize his intent is to discourage over eating but that should not come at the expense of exercising which has benefits well beyond calorie burning.
Dr Neil big thanks to you.Live long for 500 years and save our planet and keep its resident healthy
Dr Barnard Thank-you for sharing
I asked my doctor to check my vitamin D.
She said no!
I am meeting my new doctor in the 23rd.
He's vegan! 😊
Salads are easy you can do loads balsamic is yum and lentils beans chick peas ordinary peas are great
This is a great vid. Covered so many need to know points. 👍👍👍👍👍
Regular salt is not an option as it is caked, bleached poison. The only healthy salt you can eat and not feed yourself poison is Celtic or Himalayan sea salt. Cranberries are a great source of Iodine.
If you take too much of anything won’t your body just-get rid of the rid of the excesses
Which oil is considered good for checking from South Africa
Agave is not okay but prunes & dates are sweet, coconut sugar or a little of regular sugar. I make ripe frozen bananas to make nice cream. yummy!
I honestly mostly see things like the impossible burger as a way to get slightly better food than would otherwise be available when on like a road trip & you are at a point when the foods you were able to carry with you on the trip just aren't enough to sustain you & you are not in a place where you can cook.
OMG! Humans have a sick O B S E S S I O N with BREAD!!!!!!!!!! 🙈
I thought it was bad in germany, but the US is the same
What what was that about not being able to eat raw tomatoes? Why is that? I never heard that and I eat raw tomatoes, whats the problem?
Thanks a lot doctor and for the channel too
I started a vegan diet 2 months ago! I eat lots of fruits and veggies and complex carbs (low to no fat) but my skin was breaking out and I started feeling pressure/tightness in my throat. I was really worried and researched it and Thyroid/iodine deficiency came up. I consumed a bit of shrimp and beef for two days as a test and feel so much better. How does one figure out what your vegan diet is missing?
Please keep these coming! Love these!
I went on a keto diet.I was eating healthy on it and loosing weight. At six months into it, I started to itch, especially on my scalp. I do see a nutrition doctor and through a blood test he told me I had hashimotos. Please help thanks
I love making Smoothies Dr Barnard
Thanks Dr Barnard I eat a little meat and Fish
I'm glad to hear that he is not promoting excessive consumption of coconut milk and coconut oil even though it's vegan.
I am trying to grow allot of my own food for nutritional height and freshness. i do not call it a garden but I call it my medicine cabinet
I was never a smoothie guy until I watched dr Kristi's smoothie which I do now make
Humans are not herbivores we are omnivores. The key is to not eat too much and to not eat factory meat. Most people that eat meat grow up eating way too much and don't eat enough veggies and eat too much sugar. It's not about meat itself.
What about anemia that results from long term vegan diet. My hemoglobin and ferritin levels are on the low side and I’m worried about reduced energy from low oxygen saturation in my blood.
Dr. B are you sure about eating the whole grains. What about the lectins and the gluten.
Why are you still preaching the anti-cholesterol scare tactic. You sound like a doctor still living in the 1970's/
Sunlight + CHOLESTEROL = Vitamin D
It's not simply the coconut oil that's the issue. Its the little to no fruits, vegetables, beans, seeds, & grains. If we get whole foods at every meal instead of focusing on vegan then we truly level up our health🌟🥕🥬 I know people still using Metamucil
I enjoy my salad without dressing? Do I really need a dressing for better absorption of vitamins?
Dr. Barnard, I have read the areas that are colder, with longer winter, northern, have been found to have elevated cases of skin cancer because the Sun reflects off the snow, giving more Sun exposure, and damage. So even though we are getting more Sun exposure, we are told to wear sunblock on our face, ears, hands if we're in those areas and we spend time outside in the winter months. Is this accurate? It was reported, Florida had less in comparison. This is in reference to the Vit D conversation.
About algae, I regularly eat wakame or dulse, but I don't understand how they should be consumed properly…I mean, I have been told I should soak it in water for a while, but doing that, doesn't iodine leak out in the water (together with other minerals) ? I'm confused…
I love Dr. Bernard and also Dr. Joel Fuhrman who also permotes a whole foods plant based life style.
