#Vegan blood type diets?
I'm convinced it comes down to blood type with why one person succeeds on a lifestyle diet, while others feel like crap. I'm not 100% compliant with the AB blood type diet, but there are many things I don't eat for my blood type. I gave up chicken over a year ago and feel great, I also limit my corn products too.
You're absolutely right! Eating meat is not inherently bad, but eating fatty meat is what raises the cholesterol. About killing creatures for food, there is nothing wrong w/that either. In fact, for some like deer, they MUST be hunted or we would be overrun w/them b/c they have no predators anymore. Venison is very lean though so it is great! Deer who grow up around the Midwest area tend to eat a lot of corn and soybeans from the farms so their meat is "sweeter" than say ones that grow up around Montana where it is fairly wild. As Dr Barnard said though, a vegan diet is very healthy MOST of the time, but it also takes a lot of planning to get a balanced protein. Grains only have partial proteins and legumes also only have partial proteins, but when combined, they make it complete. The reason I said most of the time though for a vegan diet is b/c if a person is VERY active like a professional athlete or a professional dancer, or somebody else who exerts a LOT of energy. Those types of people need a LOT of protein to stay balanced. For instance an Olympian athlete (or any professional athlete) or a Ballerina both work out at least 8 – 10 hrs a day. One lady ballerina said that she started skipping cycles b/c her hormones were suppressed. When she re-introduced (lean) meat based protein into her diet, she was good again. For somebody who is only moderately active though, a vegan diet is great! Balance is the key!
I'm type O and was veg for years. I was always getting anemic, and yes I ate dark leafy greens for iron, it didn't matter. Then for 6 years I just ate whatever, felt like crap. I just a month ago went all veg and meat, low carbs and I feel awesome, better than I have felt in a long time.
Is this a Vegan commercial?
Yes yes my doctor told my this as well to have meat as least with one meal. Protein was low.
Started eating food according to my blood type and I the best I've felt in the last 8 years. Type O. I've eliminated oranges, avocado, kidney beans, coconut, and many other foods. Increased mango, black beans, dark green veggies, and exercise 2 days a week. I've lost 16 pounds in 2 months.
"People lost weight" well of course they did but how did they feel? What kind of weight-loss was it, fat mor muscle? This is just a propaganda video
spam should not be considered meat just like potato chips should not be considered vegetable.
I can totally see why Doctors and Health Department don't want us to believe in it, coz it works and that cuts down on their source of income.
Excellent program I thank you so much for putting out this content and for your guests I thank you both God bless you and stay safe
"We took them on a vegan diet and both groups did well regardless of blood type"
No shit Sherlock, anyone does better off of a standard Western diet. What was your control? A fifth grader does better science than this. Fuck, I hate doctors.
The experiment is not complete. Yes all blood type lose weight and LDL goes down. The real question how much muscle mass of those people lose specially the O people. You just assuming losing weight is automatically good but it could be the precious muscle mass. Also the way you report it was so bias for the vegan diet. The result was already expected. Not a man of science for me.
This could have been 4 minutes. God people like to hear the sound of their own voices
I'm a O type and not true not a meat lover nor eat much meat. I do keep my diet balance and always give thanks to our heavenly Father for blessing my meal daily. Take care and don't go forget to always pray and give thanks.
Dr.Neal Barnard's body language(rapid blinking of eyes) associates with building fictions to assault or blatantly reject someone's beliefs and do not agree to any extrapolations or truth. people who lie in the court room always do that. May be these Docs are paid heavily to speak that way. Who knows he has to just back up his own lobby for personal motives? The Doctor's industry has killed more innocent people (connived with pharma companies) than any war. 3000 years ago they naturally found there were 4 major body type in humans which were called Ayurveda Body Type – Vata(B type blood), Pitta(O type blood), Kapha(A type blood) and the combination(AB type blood) which closely correspond to the blood type fundamentals. We need to do our own due diligence before grabbing or quitting any diet.
This is silly, so many factors are not even taken into account. Performance, overall feeling, what was their starting point? Working out and athleticism? What’s more consistent for long term? You can put someone on fruit and veggies and they’ll lose weight, put them on meat and fruit, they’ll lose weight, put them on water and crackers they’ll lose weight. What’s the individual feeling, performance and recovery? “Vegans are skinny because they have metabolism” hahaha oook.
You’re literally telling one group to eat vegetarian and another to eat spam? That’s your argument…🤣🤣 how about a ribeye? Grass fed and grass finished only.
Whenever I'd eat red meat my stomach would be a hot mess the next day. Sure enough when I looked at foods to avoid for A+ it said to avoid red meat.
What about rh factor
Is there a such thing as good and bad cholesterol? Yes there is. These guys, doctors; findings, are very suspicious and seem bias. They are forcing the round peg to fit the square hole.
I don't need to lose weight, I do though find that gluten & processed food preservatives tend to give me indigestion. I cannot ever eat green beans, both cooked & uncooked. Balsamic vinegar, ground peppercorns, pineapple, baking powder take my breath away, totally. Wheat flour is a red rag… Any tips or thoughts.
Of course they lost weight they probably went from eating McDonald’s to non processed food
I am excited to find this video. My challenge is to beat Type-2 Diabetes. Understanding how our blood types play a role in ascertaining optimal health. Thanks, Dr. Barnard I will continue to listen. It is invaluable to know that being on a Vegan Lifestyle is best for ALL Blood types. You will lose weight.
by the way O- should not eat veg! and there are differences between O- and O+ this video is not a good one the study was not a good study and on top of that O- is immune to the plague, aids, covid and all of these laboratay made viruses.
ok A blood group can not eat meat because they can't digest it like an O- but an O- that stops eating meat as they are meat eaters will have a humour problem they get pissed off more and feel shity. so loosing weight is not the important thing here. so O- should eat meat but once a year or every 2 years! the other blood groups should not and don't need too
Haha! Some study man. So just because their bad cholesterol went down and they lost weight that's all we need to look at and now we know for sure that they should be vegan. 🤡
I have all the blood types in my family my wife is AB, I am O, my two sons are A and my daughter is type B. We all eat according to our type and it has made a huge impact on our health for the better. I have tried the vegan diet before for about 2 months and I literally felt like I was dying. I distinctly remember the day that I decided to try and have some organic grass fed beef just to see if it would make a difference. It made me feel like a new man! I've never felt so good in my life! I'm curious what blood type you are sir? If you happen to be anything other than O that explains a lot. Just because you thrive on certain foods doesn't mean everyone will thrive on them. I can eat a grass fed beef and feel great and if my wife were to eat just a small amount of that same beef she would feel terrible with a rock hard belly and struggle to digest it for the next 12 hours.
Come on, Dr. Barnard, you know this study was flawed. You didn’t put type O on their regular diet! And cholesterol numbers aren’t the end all be all!
Funny how if you google it there’s a bunch of “articles” that say it doesn’t work and why it’s been debunked. Some people really don’t want you to eat what’s good for you.
it not just works but i am healing sorry cured everyone who had the disciplened…..by the way stay away from doctors and their opinions they dont know shit besides they would lose all their clients if everyone would follow blood type diet….
It worked for me
The real book "eating right for your blood type" has been around for a very long time. Me personally along with a few friends had used this book and saw amazing results. It truly does work. My problem with this video is that they chose to do studies on a vegan only diet. Pretty much everyone who goes vegan are guaranteed to lose weight no matter what. But for some people, going vegan isn't sustainable or suitable for them. Vagan diets can also be very dangerous for people who have nut allergies. I feel like more and more the media and pretty much everywhere is pushing plant base non stop.
I am blood type A and switched to almost 100% of the food types in the Eat 4 Blood type app (and book). I am 5’8” and weighed 150 pounds. I was advised to go on this diet by a pharmacist. I was suffering from Acid reflux/GERD. I started the diet and almost immediately started loosing weight. It just fell off. My old pants and belts started fitting again. After 7 months of this diet I seemed to have stabilized at 133 pounds. I am small framed, male. I have always exercised and thought I was eating well. I have to also mention that I was taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar diluted in 12 ounces of water every day based on some other health videos stating that it would help with my acid reflux. Problem is that for blood type A, I am not allowed to have ANY type of vinegar. Question: Does anyone know why? ACV seems to have a lot of health benefits, so why can’t I have it?
I’m type O. I’ve tried going vegan a handful of times for varied time lengths and while at first I’d feel better…soon enough I always start feeling very sickly and weak. That could be because I’m not eating “nutritionally complete” enough on a vegan diet but it just feels way too unsustainable and difficult. Plus I am naturally very thin with a high metabolism so my goal is not weight loss, simply health and wellness. Whenever I end up reintroducing grass fed beef or free range chicken I feel like I perk right back up. However dairy is something my body simply does not tolerate or digest well (just like the O type diet suggests)…so idk I really do think there’s some truth to this hypothesis. Maybe not for EVERYONE but it seems like something that might work for me.
OMG.
I can't believe that doctor is talking in general, Vegan diet means nothing. That is not specific and not scientific. That is laughable…losing weight doesn't prove health…you can lose muscle and it would seem like you losed weight. You should feed 0 blood type with meat, fish, fruit and vegetable…to see how type 0 react to their food. You didn't try that in your experiment, so you CAN NOT say that blood type absolutely doesn't mean anything.
Plants are good for everybody…but blood type is even healthier eating meat , not just plants. Digestive enzymes are the ones who prove what would someone eat. We DO NOT have the same digestive enzymes …so it is NOT true that is absolutely doesn't matter if we all eat exactly the same.
I tried not eating meat and it ended with me in hospital…I am type 0 and HAVE to eat proteins from meat, have to eat fruit and vegetables….just like my ancestors…i get sick if i don't.
Study that you are talking about is laughable.
The key to get rid of long covid…..
Is to get your body and brain back together. Eat your blood type diet and voila! It took 6 months for me to figure this out….I'll never trust big pharma doctors again.
I researched ADHD in depth many moons ago when taking med or changing a child's diet was up in the air. All research was inconclusive until there was a controlled group off the record. Change your child's diet. They dont need to suppprt the multitrillion dollar industry. Some kids need these meds. You'll know if they really do when you fix their diet and that doesn't work.
So here we are again. Bloodtype diets….they actually work, prevent autoimmune disorders, cancers, etc…but we will say it's inconclusive because big pharma needs us to support their meds.
One huge turn iff…DR is still stuck on old outdated and incorrect cholesterol data. We are made up of…cholesterol…he needs to learn that cholesterol has nada to do with heart disease. I am A+ and lost lots of weight on Keto.
He is a vegan pusher…and locked onto old cholesterol data….👎👎👎👎. NOT going vegan…new trendy fad…
OMG is this Dr serious? WOW He did a 45-day study to see how blood types did on a new vegan diet? they found all types did good? Well, I did good at first too but then I learned how to make delicious vegan food and gained my weight back and then some. My 4th year in I lost 70% of MY HAIR! I gave up after trying everything. In my 5th yr, I quit being a vegan and 8 months later. I had a head full of thick, wavy shiny soft hair! I started eating meat again! I am O+. There is NO WAY to know in such a short period of time! No way! I'm going to try the blood type diet, and I'll let you know how I do! I'm starting today!
Blood Type O Rhesus Negative people have a hard time gaining more than their optimal weight, so when they lose weight on a vegetarian diet, it is not necessarily a good thing. They almost have to eat red meat. People who are Rhesus Positive need to eat more red meat than Rhesus Negative people. You have to figure in the Monkey Factor. Monkeys are absolutely vicious cannibals. Every primate in the world has Rhesus Positive blood. Blood Type O + and – people get weak without meat. Blood type O Rhesus Negative people are Bluebloods aka Anunnaki. Almost every rich and famous person in the world is a blueblood.
🙄Sure sounds like anti-meat propaganda.
I’ll keep my meat & continue to stay away from sugar. Also, don’t eat processed garbage meat like spam. Yikes.
I'm type O. I'm supposed to eat meat & veggies. No dairy. That's a sad existence because I don't really like a lot of meat & love dairy. Let's not even talk about all the other stuff I can't eat that are basically food staples. I feel extremely restricted and not at all happy. Food shouldn't be a cause of stress and that's what it's turning into.
I'm someone who tries to eat healthy meals and maintain portion control, but this diet feels a little bit too extreme and take away 99.9% of the stuff you actually enjoy eating.
Clearly this was sponsored by the people who are pushing plant based diets who are anti meat.
The old idea of cholesterol being bad has been debunked. But they won’t tell you that cuz they want you on statins. This is BS. The myth is that animal fat is bad for you. This doctor is full of crap. There are a ton of variables he did not consider. IM O – and need meat or my iron and folate drops to dangerous levels that only eating meat could fix. He is outdated. He is full of misinformation. Basically full of propaganda.
