Just to clarify … dates are not low in calories, neither are nuts. If you're monitoring your caloric intake just beware that a single date has about 66 calories. The high fat content (yes, natural, healthy fats from the nuts,) is also not mentioned.
i add butter instead of oil. that turned better

I made these and they were soooo easy and delicious. I also added pumpkin seeds. I wrapped the individual bars in wax paper and stored in the fridge. really tasty.

How long do they last? I need these for a two/three day trek in the jungle.
i searched for nut free energy bars fuck you nut eaters and you tube for trying to kill me .
Can I replace the nuts you had with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and / or coconut???? I have allergies =]

Is it possible to use some other type of oil? Allergies to coconut here. π Suggestions?
