Dr. Berg talks about doing intermittent fasting at a frequency of one time per day. If you get all your nutrients, it is not starvation, it’s a super healthy eating plan. Doing this will not just help you lose weight (belly fat), but help you achieve autophagy, which is cleaning up all the damaged cellular parts and bacterial residue (mold, fungus, virus, candida, and bacteria). It is anti-aging and will help your body proteins. You want to transition to 1 meal per day gradually, starting with three meals a day, then two, and then one – ensure you do not snack. Our current eating in society is based on keeping your blood sugars up and preventing low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). When doing 1x per day intermittent fasting, make sure you also do keto (ketogenic diet) and not do junk food. Doing 3 meals a day with snacking is not good for your health and will not help you lose weight even if you eat healthy because every time you eat, you increase insulin. This results in insulin resistance. This is also called metabolic syndrome. I think it can inhibit diabetes. Doing 1 meal a day will increase your lifespan (anti-aging).

Because of your videos I have gotten to a 2 hour window where I eat. The first week is a struggle and if I eat carbs while out at a party does make me hungry, otherwise I'm doing fine. I do eat well for my one meal and then within an hour or 2 I have a veggie smoothie. Thanks for the information!
My weight loss stopped after 2 weeks of keto, I than decided to do Omad and the kilos started to melt off.
Does it help with enlarged pores? I've been fasting for 2 days now..
I’m retaining water due to unknown issues does one meal a day cure this issues?
I am using antidepresents antipsychotics can i do omd and can i do it cold turkey?
I stopped eating all carbs and sugar and meat. I do consume fish. But I only eat vegetables and berries. I am on OMAD for 2nd day now but I have been no carbs and sugar for 1 month and have gone from 171lbs to 156lbs. Now with one meal a day I hope to lose weight before my Dr. Appt on June 5th. I am prediabetic with high blood pressure 127 down from 163. Since I have an at home monitor to check my blood pressure my A1C is also elevated which puts me at prediabetic hopefully your expertise will help me achieve better health
I want to send this to my friends in Italy do you have a way in Italian
The only sad thoughts I have when watching ALL your videos are the ones I have when I think of my mother who has heart problems, diabetes 2, and pulmonary fibrosis at 72. I wish I could turn back time and give her all this information. Because of her health always, my brother and I have always focused on our health.
I have been doing OMAD for 3 months. Everything was excellent- Cognitive, Energy high, weight loss, and Cardio exercise!
But, I started getting weaker day by day after returning to "Strength Training"! Even my CBC showed signs of malnutrition!
Now I do 2 meals, and it's getting better!
Lesson learned: For Anaerobic exercise or things that induce "Damage" to your body, OMAD may not be a good option!
hi Dr. Berg, thanks so much for your generous and insightful sharing. i have benefited immensely. I have a question, I am doing alternate day fasting for a while, so i eat one day and only drink water/coffee/tea the other day. i feel great but i dont know whether this is healthy, what s your thought/advice and recommendation?
👍🏽
If I eat 1 meal per day I will most likely die lol that one meal won't be enough to fuel my 2 hour training sessions and I am not including my 12 h shifts at work 😅
In 3 months I've lost 50 lbs and my reminant cholesterol dropped from 37 to 22 in OMAD keto!
Can you drink water during the day ? Or only once
I’ve been doing IF. My scale isn’t moving but my waist is getting smaller. I eat twice a day now. Today I drank wheat grass juice for my 2 pm meal. Then I had my dinner. Still keeping up with the vitamins. Always end the night with ACV. Today OMAD was successfully done. One day at a time.
Thank you!
Hi Dr. Berg another great clip. My friends and I really enjoy your clips and find them so helpful. I had a question when eating the 1 meal a day can you eat stuff like brown rice, potatoes, whole grains? Or just keep it keto with meat and veggies? Thanks
Dr Berg, I'm new to the intermittent fasting, and I've easily gone to one meal a day. I'm wondering if a small "snack" such as cheese crisps with natural peanut butter breaks the fast? I understand coffee with a tablespoon of butter would be ok? Thank you for your easy to follow guides!!! I'm feeling much better already.
OMAD saved me
Thank you dr
How do you manage all vitamin/ mineral tablets on only one meal a day?
I think that doing something for example exercise after meal is unhealthy becuse after meal people should rest and body have to Focus on digestive procesess, i fell better when i start make excersie after 12 houre after meal than 2-3 houer, I think good pattern of eat is very important and nowadays society is teach nad habits, IT is vety good that i found video a out keto etc
I'm in a dilemma… I started saving Dr Berg's videos… you know… the important ones. Until I found out that they're ALL important! Now what do I do?? 😅
I bodybuild and train mma and boxing I would love to get 3000 calories in OMAD. I eat 2 meals a day 12:00–6:30 no snacks PERIOD. I actually hate eating it’s a waste of time I do it for fuel only.
During one meal a day , can i have tea (with milk and sugar) at any time during the day?
